Question
I have a pioneer receiver vsxd701s. It's appx. 5 or 6 years old.
I like the receiver. It has worked well until xmas day. All things work well, then the tuner went out. I cannot a get a radio station, nothing but static. The search or seek won't stop on a station. Not AM or Fm.
  Everything else works fine. The antenna is fine as well.
  Any idas?

i suspect some poor solder connections are the culprit, but to get to the bottom solder side of main circuit board is where all the difficulty lies. since you like it so well,(pioneer does have some really nice sets) i'd find a service center and let them have a go at it.
