Question
the sound on my radio has suddenly stopped what could be the problem ?

Answer
Hi Dean,
Any chance you might have done something elsewhere in the car, even use the ciggy lighter, that may have blown a fuse? That's the first thing to check, the fuse box, there is also usually on better radios a fuse in the back of the set next to the connector block. Failing that, having pulled the radio already, check with a test if there is power  12v perm, 12v ACC. If you do, radios died if you don't it's a power supply problem.
Have fun Peter
