Audio Systems/car radio locked

Question
hi there i have recently brought a peugeot 306  and the guy i brought it from said that he caned the battery and when he connected it again the radio in the car didnt work . i have tried to disconnect the battery again for the radio to reset itself but nothing happened the screen on the radio is blank nothing comes up when u turn the engine on i have checked the fuse as well and thats fine can u help please

Hi Martin,
There were several radios fitted to the Pug 306 but as far as I know all of them should come on with the ingition if only to say "CODE", you then need the correct code from your vehicles documentation to emter it, failer to do so will lock out the radio and it will need resetting by a dealer,(or bin it and get a new aftermarket one and a facia adaptor).
If you have nothing then one of two things, either there IS a lack of power to one of the two 12v inputs OR the radio is fried!
Hope it's neither but it does sound like it.
