Question
I own a 91 Toyota Corolla and have not had radio/stereo issues before.  My problem - my speakers crackle (sounds like the radio/stereo is on) when the stereo/radio is turned off.  I pulled the fuse and the speakers still crackle.  Do I have a short?  What can I do to fix the problem?  Thanks.

Answer
sounds like the stereo has an external amp module somewhere that has developed a problem in the power up section. if not, carefully check all speaker wiring for shorting body parts somewhere. also make sure speakers are solidly mounted to openings, no loose screws, etc. hope this helps, g........
