The problem is with the receiver unit 14167065 that is located under the dash.  The unit can be repaired or replaced.  Make sure that the model number is the same.

Most likely there is an electrolytic  capacitor that has shorted. This is on the circuit board , inside the cdm unit.

These capacitors were only rated at 16 volts, and they tend to go away after a decade or two.

If you are fortunate, only the capacitor needs to be changed, most any reputable  electronic repair shop can handle this.

( If you are handy with a soldering iron, this can be an easy fix, as the parts don't cost much, it is worth a try)

Rebuilt units are available at around $150.
