Question
I have an old Sansui 9090db receiver with pre-amp (or whatever they are called) jacks on the back and was wondering if I could run the speaker wires off a newer receiver in to these some way and let me use my remote from the new receiver to control volume and would the watts per channel be the combined wattage of both units?

Answer
you can only run the 'pre out' jacks of one to the 'main in' jacks of the other. then, the one that is the 'out' is the control unit. never connect speaker wires to anything else than a speaker, as severe damage to all connected equipment can occur. hope this helps, g............
wattage only applies to the unit the speakers are hooked to, you cannot combine in any fashion. if you need more, re submit to me.....g........
