Question
Question -
I have a '92 subaru legacy and I just installed a new legacy lcd89dfx stereo receiver.  I have it so all the speakers work, It keeps memory and everything, but there are four or five extra wires hanging around doing nothing.  What are these for and what should I do with them?
Answer -
some are remote turn on lines for external amps, probably an antenna line for power antennas, also pre-out lines for other amps and sub amp. your owners manual will tell you more
Follow up question -
I bought the car used from someone, so it didn't come with an owner's manual.
Can you tell me where I can get one?
Thanks again!

Answer
i'd give an ask.com or google.com search on your model number, if that doesn't give results, you'll have to either contact an auto sound installer/servicer, if that doesnt work you will have to try to contact the mfgr.s parts department and order one. there isn't a master wiring book yet, dadburnit, or i'd have one myself. sometimes it takes a lot of searching to find the info you need...i've been searching for data on a police scanner now for 2 years...it sucks.......
