Question
I want to replace/upgrade the factory Bose radio in my 1999 Merceds SL to add a CD changer and satellite radio.  What's the best system?

Answer
Hi Marlene!
It's a good option to add a cd changer but for mercedes you will have to take some points in account.
If you plan to use a factory CD changer (Mercedes Benz) in order to your actual system to recognize it your radio will need to be programmed in the mercedes dealer or service center, same applies if you opt for a line input adapter for your satellite radio, an easier option would be to install an aftermarket CD changer (eg Pioneer or JVC)wich connects to your existing system trough a FM modulator inserted on the antenna line, The only drawback in this case is that you'll have a extra control in your console.
