                 Thankyou for any help

Answer
Hi John,
Panasonic what?? model would have helped.
Sounds like a facia problem with the unit not recieving instruction from the face panel, check out the contacts on the back of the panel and the front of the radio, if it is still stuffed then have a look on ebay for another facia, there is usually a selection there for about $20 to $30 .
Hope thats a help,
Peter
