Audio Systems/AM signal

Question
Hey peter, we recently had a bad lightning storm, and I lost my AM signal in my factory Ford AM/FM CD player. What happened, and can I make a repair, or will I have to send it to someone? Thanks, Brian Tomlin

Answer
Hi Brian, Quie possible the 'front end' of your AM curcuit is fried, depending on the age and spec of the damaged radio I think a new one might be in order, anything over 5 or 6 years old is rarely worth it, (having said that, my show car has a 12 year old Pioneer DEX800 RDS and it's wicked!) if the AM curcuit is fried then it wouldn't really be worth it or live without AM.
(You guys till have AM stations over there?)
