Question
Well i just bought this 1999 chevy tahoe and the stereo sounded fine, and then I was driving down the road and put a cd in and turned the volume up and then the sound was gone, i can see the settings, and it lights up, and at times it sounds like the speakers are on but just no sound,
any help please.
thanks
wes

Answer
Hi Wes,
Dough!, strange one, really a hands on test is needed to be on the ball but at a guess, I fear it could be radio output failure. Highly unlikely for all 4 speakers to go on the fritz unless there is an inline amp or amps, depending on level of trim on your car, checking for RCA leads out the rear of the set is a clue, also the fuse may have gone on the amp signal wire from the head unit, needs a tech to look at it really, no good guessing.
