Question
Hi I have a alpine cd player with alpine door speakers and amp. I also have 2 10" subs. My question is that I get a whine though the speakers. I have my power and rca cables ran down oppisite sides, My ground is to the cab and its clean. I also tried to move the ground or go directly to the battery nothing. It seems to get worse when I kill the battery. Iam stumped anything you can think of to help would be appreciated thanks

Answer
Hi Mike,
I assume you mean when the engine is running?
What you can hear is alternator whine. Make sure your feed is clean directly from the battery positive terminal, 2" lead then an in-line fuse and then straight to the amp.
Also make sure the earth strap between engine and chassis is good
Other than that is could mean a fault in the alternator.
