Ernesto,  I purchased a 2006 buick lucerne from a friend that is almost identical to one we purchased for a company car from a dealer. The radios look identical from the front, but one does not have programming for the satellite radio, yet I would guess that there is maybe just a chip or wire revision that would make it adaptible, without going to an add-on unit.The dealer says that unless the car was ordered with the satellite system, it won't work.I can't imagine GM would put carry two radios with the same exterior...same buttons,etc; nor would I think satellite radio would want to lose new customers because it can't be programed. Do you know if, for a fee, the unusable radio can be easily programed? Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

i love your question   dealers they lie all the time but that is true there is nothing they can do for you  

if there is a cd/aux and a band button on the radio

you need the xm tunner the andtenna and the wires this will plug in to your radio and all the xm radio artis title information will show in the display of your radio
