Audiology/Otolaryngology/Ear Pressure

Question
Since January of this year I have been having huge ear problems. When I go to sleep and wake up on the left side, I'm able to get up because there is this huge pressure on my ear drum. To get up I almost create a vacuum in my ear by plugging it with my finger. Once upright the pressure disappears within seconds.
I've been to see two doctors and an ENT specialist and none have provided me with an answer (The ENT specialist did not see it necessary to take a CT of the ear.) What worries me is that it is starting to get worse with ear aches developing during the day in my left AND right ear.
I feel as though my options have run out. Can you provide me with an answer?

Answer
Hi Brendan,
Have you consulted a dentist?  I have heard of these symptoms sometimes occuring in people with Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorder. If you grind your teeth, that may be something to consider.
Hope this helps.
