Question
would like information on the above, not sure this is what mine is. I have a sm hole by each ear. Had a face lift & one hole is moved more out on my face & it bleeds alot.  will this be a future problem?  thanks

Answer
Hi Lynda,
Basically, a preauricular pit is a tiny hole near the front of the ear and is the opening to a sinus cavity.  They are present at birth and usually cause no trouble.  However, they can become infected and abscessed.  This can happen during surgery.  You would be best served to visit a physician, prefereably an ear specialist, as you may have an infection which could spread.
Hope this helps.
