Question
i have a 4 kids ages 8 4 3 and 3 MO and the 8 Lyra old and 3 Lyra old had tubes put in last yr or so, and the 4 yr old has never had ear infections, nor dosetnt have tubes.
she was playing in her room and she came out crying loudly and holding her ear and saying that it hurts, this is the left i was wondering could she have an ear infection, or could she have shoved the ear wax up against the ear drum,
she had her finger in her ear holding it saying its beeping.
and hurts and crying a lot.

Answer
Hi Julie,
Yes, it is very possible she has an ear infection.  But the only way to know for sure is to make an appointment immediately with her pediatrician for an evaluation and have him/her actually look in the ear to see what is happening.  If you cannot get an immediate appointment, then you should take her to the ER before it gets worse.
Hope this helps.
