Question
I just had the ENG test done yesterday. It took over 2 hours for the complete test. I wanted to ask ..is it normal to feel ....sick the next day ..Confusion, dizziness, ..not able to really concentrate..eyes hurting..and light is unbearable to them...as is noise...Headache is also part of this ...I would think, that ..the day after this test..all this would have subsided...BUT it hasnt..
I do have a neurology appt today..and IM alil nervous of driving because of the ill after affects of this ENG test done a day ago..In other words..There are some folks in the world that do get..long term sickness of some form from the ENG test...
I would just like to know why

Answer
Hi Sandra,
Usually, there are no long-lasting after-effects from the ENG. But, considering that you are somewhat manipulated during the test, for example, on the Dix-Hallpike where you are rapidly repositioned to a lying position with your head over the edge of the table, it may be a possibility. This question is probably best answered by your doctor at your follow-up who will give you a thorough exam.
I hope this helps.
