Question
I am a 45 years old man with a hearing loss in my right ear, when I talck with my movil phone I use to speack too high and I can not notice what I am doing. Please, could you give me some advice about how to overcome this problem.
Thank you

Answer
Hi Aurax,
I'm not quite sure what your exact problem is. Do you talk too loudly (I assume when you say "high" you mean "loud")because you cannot hear?  You say you have a hearing loss in your right ear, do you wear a hearing aid?  Is your left ear normal?  Do you always talk loudly or just on the mobil?  If you wear a hearing aid, there are wireless devices that can connect to the aid which will allow you to hear better as well as leaving your hands free. If you always talk loud, then maybe you should consult a speech pathologist who can work with you on modulating your voice. Do you have any other problems with multitasking in general?  Some people just cannot do more than one thing at a time and would be best to either concentrate on talking on the phone or noticing what they are doing...especially when driving.
Hope this helps.
