Question
Have you heard about Hearing Health pill by an American company called Premier Micronutrient Corporation?
Apparently researches were done with the US Navy.
Do you think it is worth trying for noise induced hearing loss? Also is it worth taking NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) and/or ALA (alpha lipoic acid)? Your input is much appreciated.

Answer
Hi Marcia,

If you were to check the ingredients in this pill, you will see that is contains nothing more than vitamins and minerals. Many of these are antioxidants and help build the immune system.  Although I doubt that there would be any harm in taking it, I am not sure that it would have any more positive effects than regular vitamins.

As for the other nutrients you mentioned...again, I doubt that there would be much harm, but I am not sure how much positive would be gained.,  The best thing for noise induced hearing loss is ear protection to prevent further loss.

Hope this helps.
