Question
I am 76 yrs. old and have had blocking of ears followed by fatigue and its getting worse.  physical 4 months ago, all okay.  they block without a patten as i have tried to notice.  when this happens, it is followed by tiredness and cracking of my voice and last for a little while.  not sure whats going on.  only med. is blood pressure which i have taken for many years.  any ideas?

Hi Peter,
Usually, "blocking of ears" is due to Eustachian tube dysfunction.  However, I really don't believe I've ever heard of these episodes being followed by "fatigue."  The only recommendation I can think of is for you to consult an ENT, ear specialist, who can evaluate your ears and your hearing.  Also, since you are on BP medicine, you may also want to consult a cardiologist to rule out the possibility of a vascular problem.
