Question
Hi, I am a 30 years old male.I have worked in IT for 1.5 years and currently working as a Network Engineer in telecommunication domain since last 3 years. I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Computer Engineering and now i have a good opportunity to make a transition into the field of IT Auditing and on the other side already i am pursuing my career in networks as a network engineer in voice domain . I have heard and read so much about the demand for IT people to conduct Audits.  CISA is a related certification in this field. Can you please suggest me a better option to pursue among the two available options at this moment of time in my life, since IT Auditing domain seems good but i m feeling a bit hesitant in leaving the networks side for now.

Answer
Ahmad,
Your question is a bit out of my expertise. If it were up to me - with a year and half in my current career and some great degrees already accomplished - I would give my current career at least five years before I made a switch. There will be a continuing demand for network engineers - stick with that - and enjoy the ride.
