Question
How long would you estimate it would take to travel down the east coast from cairns to Brisbane in a campervan and how cheap/expensive and accessible are vans for 2 people

Thanks

Answer
Carins to Brisbane is a little over 800 miles.  You should not plan on averaging more than 35-40 mph.  How long depends on how many hours a day you drive and if you stop to signtsee along the way.  Campervans are available all over Australia.  Prices vary depending on the size and accessories of the unit rented, insurance the company might require and charges for one way rental.  You are probably looking at a minimum of $110 per day.  You might check out Britts Australia.  It is one of the larger companies.
