QuestionQUESTION: We're planning to moved to brisbane from Sydney and we see that houses are more affordable around the area. Can you pls. tell me more about the place. Or maybe you can recommend me some suburb that are not expensive but still close to the city. thanks...
ANSWER: Hi Jerry,
Redbank Plains is a western suburb about 25 km from the city. It has train access to the city, and has a large shopping complex at Redbank. One problem that I know of, is the main road (Ipswich Motorway) to Brisbane. It has 2 lanes and is continually congested in peak hour. Unfortunatley, the closer you move to the city, the more expensive it is. If I did recommend a suburb, it would be on the north side, and I am not sure that is where you want to settle. Contac me again if required.

QUESTION: Hi Frank,
Thanks for your prompt response, can you tell me more about the north side
especially North Lakes/Mango Hill...
By the way were from Philippines and we have two kids. We've been here in
Sydney for almost 8 years, we just want to move to Brisbane for a change as
Sydney cost of living is getting tougher now.....
Cheers,
Jerry
AnswerHi Jerry,
North lakes and Mango Hill are in the same shire I use to live in (Pine Shire). They are both great areas, and up until last month, I have lived there for the past 28 years. North Lakes and Mango Hill are new developments, and have easy access to both North and South freeways. North Lakes is going to be a very big suburb, and the only problem I have is some of the blocks are small. Otherwise, I think you will find both North Lakes and Mango Hill are both family friendly areas. Hope this helps.

Frank
