My son is leaving in 3 weeks for 5 months at University of Newcastle.  What type of  electrical adapter does he need to plug in his Dell laptop?

Hi Kim,
       Australia has a 240 volt system. You can go to a store called Dick Smith's and buy an adaptor. You do not mention which country you are from, so I can't say the exact adaptor you require.

Some of the major stores will also stock adaptors.
