Hi Frank, My family and i are thinking of moving to Queensland, we are currently in Melbourne, moved from Perth 2yrs ago, anyway iam married with two girls aged 15 and 10,my wife is a special needs Teacher and iam a building supervisor,we are looking for somewhere thats family orientated,eg: out door activities swimming, fishing ect ect,a suburb with good SCHOOLS,SHOPS,HOSPITAL,MEDICAL CENTERS,ENTERTAINMENT,QUIET LIFE STYLE(LOW CRIME AREA.)Away from hustle and bustle of busy city,Low traveling time to work,Just something that will give us a life change. Thank you for your time Pat and Family.

Answer
G'day Pat & Family,
I am not sure there is a suburb that covers all your requirements. Getting a low travel time to work will obviously depend on where you get a job.

The first place that come closest to what you require is the Redcliffe area. The suburbs of Redcliffe, Scarborough, Margate, Clontarf and Kippa Ring. Closer to the city suburbs that would be suitable are Schorncliffe and Sandgate. The areas of North Lakes, Kurwongbah, and Kallangur would also fit the bill.

The Sunshine Coast would have been suitable, but is starting to get the hustle and bustle of a city in certian parts.

I hope this helps. Contact me again if you require any more assistance.

Regards,
Frank

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
