About Frank Denison
Expertise
I have lived in Brisbane all my life (51 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience
I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.

Year 12 Secondary School

Australia - moving to brissy

Expert: Frank Denison - 10/14/2009

Question
Hi Frank,
My family is moving to Brisbane next year, and I was wondering if the suburb of Griffin and good?

Is the starting age for schooling the same as in SA?(6yrs = Year 1)

My occupation is painter %26 decorator, would i find more work south of Brissy(gold coast way?)

cheers
Nathan, South Aust.

Answer
Hi Nathan,
Griffin is about 30 km from the city, less than 1km from the freeway. Griffin has an old section and a new estate. The new estate is good.  You can start school from about 5 and half, depending when you were born, but I do not know the month, sorry.

I doubt the Gold Coast area  and south of Brissy has more work than other areas.

Regards,
Frank.
