Question
QUESTION: Met my soulmate 4 years ago-online. Im willing to leave the USA to make a new life with him in Brisbane. Is this even possible? Would this "septic" be allowed to stay? We've planned a bush trip together...Im looking forward to seeing the underground world also...Coober Pedys. I was told once I see "Oz" I wont wanna leave. I dont wanna leave once I get there..I prefer a 1-way ticket..Would this be possible?

ANSWER: Hi Karen and thank you for your letter. My sister married an American guy while she was in the USA. Then he had to apply for Immigration Status to Australia  and it took about 9 months for him to be granted Permanent Status in Australia and  the authorities also looked at things like wether he would be employable in Australia and the like.It is not as simple as just buying a one way ticket.

Best wishes and could you please rate my answer?

QUESTION: Just curious...What kind of work does your brother-in-law do? Im an Asst. Manager at a retail shop out here. Been in Retail for 10+ years. Do I have a chance out there?

Answer
Hi again Karen,

My brother in law is a computer programmer. As long as you are employable  with no crminal record that should not present a problem. However you may have to be a little patient because Oz is such a great country and many people want to emmigrate here. However I would not let thaty discourage you and I would ring up the Australian Consulate in your city and they can provide you with more information.

Best wishes and I hope you make it to Oz soon!

John
