Question
Hi, my husband and I would like to spend 4 weeks in Australia next year, my husband particularly wants to fish around Darwin/Cairns, I do not fish but am interested in cultural visits, art and anything history related. Can you suggest the best time to travel, (we both have health problems so intense heat is not a good idea) and also where both our interests can be met, so he can go fishing while I keep myself occupied please.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Carol and thank you for your question. I don't like the heat either and so the best time to travel would be during the months of June-August. In Summer here in Oz it rains continually for 3 months up North and we call it the Wet Season due to monsoons. Both Darwin and Cairns have a lot to offer in the way of Cultural Interests and good fishing so either town would be right for you and your husband.

Best wishes and could you please rate my answer?

John
