About Frank Denison
Expertise
I have lived in Brisbane all my life (51 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience
I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.

Question
Hello.

I've always wanted to visit Australia because I hear its so beautiful and based
on the photos I've seen in books and video clips on tv, I'm seriously
considering relocating there from the US.

1. What places do you recommend for sight seeing?

2. What are the most important historical places there?

3. What foods do you recommend that are most popular?

4. What is the time difference between Florida, USA and Australia?

Also, I'm planning to call somewhere from Florida, USA to Australia. Here is
the following phone number: (+61) 08 9224 2244.

5. If I wish to call from Florida, USA to Australia, what number must I dial
first?

Best regards,

Julian

Answer
G'day Julian,

1. What places do you recommend for sight seeing? The 3 Eastern cities of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne would be a great place to start. After that, if you have neough time head to the head to the outback and see Ayres Rock and then Darwin.

2. What are the most important historical places there? One of the most moving historical is the War Memorial in the capital, Canberra. A lot of other history there as well.

3. What foods do you recommend that are most popular?Australia has every nationality covered when it comes to food. It is hard to recommend just one. I suggest where you stay, to chat to the locals and ask them what the best places are to dine.

4. What is the time difference between Florida, USA and Australia? It is 14 hours, but that can change depending on Daylight savings. Here is a handy link for convetting times.  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

5. If I wish to call from Florida, USA to Australia, what number must I dial first? You dial 011 + 61 + Area Code+ Tel #, so that means 011 + 61 + 08 9224 2244 Here is a handy link for dialing codes. http://www.countrycodes.com/

Good luck on your trip, and if I can help anymore, please contact me again.

Regards,
Frank
