About Frank Denison
Expertise
I have lived in Brisbane all my life (51 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience
I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.

Question
hi Frank....

im traveling to australia on september and will be visiting from sydney to cairns...

is there any special care regarding to bugs? some repelent spary or medication?

on cairns beside the coral reef there are many small towns to visit like port douglas... would you recomend to rent a car or just move from cairns in public transportation

thanks in advance
alejandro

Answer
G'day Alejandro,
An insect repellent for flys and mosquitos is all you will need.
You will not need any medication.

There is not a lot of public transport between Cairns and Port Douglas. It would be best to hire a car.

Regards,
Frank
