Question
I am currently living in southern NSW and i am looking to
move to Queensland, i am a single mum with an 8 yr old boy,
i work with people with disabilities and will be looking for
the same type of work when i move, until i find work money
will be tight so i need to find somewhere that is nice but
affordable and most importantly close to work and schools.I
have no idea about the towns and suburbs such as safety,
crime distance to town etc and would love some advise
Thanks
Regards Leisa

Answer
Hi Leisa,
I would look at the north side for a place to live.
Try Strathpine, Lawnton, Bray Park, Petrie, French's Forrest Kallangur, Bald Hills, Morayfield, Narangba, Caboolture. Strathpine is the closest suburb to the city (about 20 km's) and Caboolture is the furtherest (about 50km's).

All of thise suburbs are close to either a train or bus and schools.

Centrecare, which is an arm of the catholic church, and would be a good place to start to look for the type of work you mention. You should have no problem getting work there.

Contact me again if you require any more details.

Regards,
Frank

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
