Expertise
I spent a month in Oz travelling around the Northern Territory by car and coach (Kakadu, Alice Springs, Yulara, Uluru), South Australia (by car) and Kangaroo Island (by minibus), returning via Bali where I stayed for a week exploring. I made friends with people from all-over Oz when I was judging great danes there and can always give them a call if there are any questions I can`t answer.

Question
Hello,

I have 14 days, in July, to go from Darwing to Adelaida with a campervan. Could you recommend me the best places to vist. I am interested in Wildlife and National Parks. Thanks for everything

Javier Gozalo (Spain)

Answer
Head south from Darwin to the Kakadu NP where there is a fine hotel. You will need a week to tour the park and the nearby areas of Jim Jim Falls and Katherine.

Continue south to Alice and stay overnight.  Drive west to Yulara and Ayers Rock NP.

You will then need to drive directly to Adelaide which will take about three days.  Try to hook up with someone else.  It's a long, lonely trip.  Make sure your vehicle is well maintained and service.  Take plenty of spare parts.  Take plenty of water for you and the vehicle.  Take plenty of spare cans of petrol.  Get a cellphone that works in the Outback.

Have fun.
