Australia/Good places in queensland to live?

Question
Hi
We are wanting to move from WA to QLD and what to know some good places to live.

Do not want to live in Brisbane so am looking at an area about 4 hours out of it (or less). I want somewhere on the coast where you can still buy affordable land.

We want to live in a decent sized town...not too small.

At the momnet we are thinking about bundaberg are open to suggestions. Also do you know any bad things about living in bundaberg?

Answer
Hi,
I think there are 2 options that are suitable for you. Besides Bundaberg, I think Maryborough may be an option. I go to Maryborough on a regular basis for work, and have enjoyed my time there. It is a decent sized town, and has all you need, and about 3 hours to Brisbane. It is also close to the coast and Fraser Island. Prices will be slightly cheaper than Brisbane.

I have only been to Bundaberg a few times, and I can't really give an opinion.

I am sure you would enjoy Maryborough though.

Hope this helps. By the way we loved WA when visited there this year.

Regards,
Frank

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
