Question
Hey Frank, Im a UK citizen, 20, about to go into my final yr of law school so i would be a graduate before i came over...where do i start!? would it be the skilled work visa? but im not sure if i want to be a lawyer yet and plus i would have to do some kind of conversaion course in australian law i guess . also, my mother and sister (13) want to come with me...she is 48 so would she have to apply via the family visa? she is a registered mental health nurse so would she still be able to look for a job in that field? and could she apply for the family visa whilst i am applying for my visa or would they have to wait till i went over there? your help would be much appreciated! thanks, kelly

Answer
G'day Kelly,
I do not know the details of Visa applications, but the Australian Government web site has all the details.

The link to the Australian Government will answer if you will be able to register for college or work.

Click on Visa's and working temporarily -  http://www.australia.gov.au/371

The department of Immigration site may also be of assistance. http://www.immi.gov.au/

Buying or renting a home, this link will help.

Just contact me again if you need any more help.

Frank

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
