Answer
G'day Sarah,
It is quite a coincidence, as Sue my wife, had both our children at Redcliffe hospital. We also live only 15 minutes from Redcliffe.

The reason Deception Bay and Caboolture have cheaper rent is there is a bit of a "stigma" associated with both suburbs. It is more so with Deception Bay though. It has a nickname of "Depression Bay".

I would definitely choose Clontarf, Woody Point, Scarborough or Redcliffe before renting at Deception Bay or Caboolture. Both of our children went to state schools, and we had no problems. I suppose it depends what you are looking for in education of your children. I know there are still the same problems at private schools as there are at State schools. The problems I mean are bullies, drugs, etc.

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
