Question
Hello Mick, hoping to move to australia, looking in the  Perth area, with wife and 2 children boy of 10 and girl of 5 wife and I both 34, I am a qualified roofer. Do you think this is best place in Oz to move considering the above we would like to be near the sea about 20 mins away and not too near city life but close to good schools and good environment for children with me also being able to work.

Answer
Steve:
Perth is a beautiful city and one of the wealthiest cities in Australa. The only drawback might be if you have trouble finding work, it is so far from other metropolitan area's that you don't have many other options.  For example, if you move near an east coast city like Melbourne, and work is short, there are always large cities 3-4oo miles away where you might find employment.
You will love Perth if you move there.
