QuestionI am relocating with my family to brisbane 2 job offers redcliffe and PA hospitals can you give me an idea of best areas to rent initially and how the hospitals rate
AnswerG'day Suzanne,
Redcliffe is about 40 km's from Brisbane city. It is a suburb by the sea, and it is a very nice spot. You will pay at least $350 a week for rent, but that depends on what size and type of house or unit you are looking at.
The areas close to Redcliffe hospital are Redcliffe, Margate, Clontarf, Scarborough, Suttons beach Kipparing.
Redcliffe hospital has a very good reputation for their maternity section, but not as quite as good for their emergency section. Both of our children were born at Redcliffe hospital, with one birth having a minor complications, but the staff were professional, and we felt safe, with everything working out perfect. However, my wife and children were involved in a car accident, and were taken to Redcliffe Hospital. Standard things that should have been done after an accident, were not, so I speak from real life experiences. In their defence, that was over 15 years ago, so I am sure things have changed.
The PA hospital is only 4km's from the city, and renting close to there would cost more. I would expect to pay $400 or above for rent in the surrounding areas of the PA hospital. The areas that are close are DUTTON PARK, GREENSLOPES, ANNERLEY, FAIRFIELD.
The PA hospital has a very good reputation right across the board. It is a big hospital, close to the city, and I have been treated there numerous times, from flu to football injuries, and I received excellent care every time.
