Question
I am visiting my son and his wife and my grandchild, age 2 I would like to take them sighseeing from the Sydney area while I am visiting.  Not sure what would be enjoyable for adults with a 2 year old

Answer
G'day Jennifer,
Sydney is a beautiful spot, and the harbour is one of the features. I would head to Darling Harbour for the day. There is the Powerhouse Museum, Imax Cinema, Maritime Museum, Sydney Aquarium, and the Outback Centre which would entertain all ages for a day. You can catch the monorail from the city and it stops outside those attractions. Below is a linl to Darling Harbour

There is Oceanworld at Manly where all the family would have fun. Below is a link to Oceanworld.

I would also take a trip to Australia Square or Centrepoint, where you can get 360 degree views from the top floors of both buildings.

Taronga Park Zoo is a not far from the city and is also a lot of fun, with great views back to the city.

Some of those links will also give you more ideas.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Frank

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
