Question
Im an American students (19) and I would love to live in Australia for a few months. I have the choice to go to Brisbane or Sydney. This is just for your opinion... Which city has more to offer for students. Im just going to have a fun time and experience living somewhere new and learn more about Australian culture.  Thanks Frank

Answer
G'day Jess,
I hope you enjoy your stay when you get here.
Both places will be good.

Sydney has twice the amount of people and is a very busy city. It is not as friendly as Brisbane in my opinion.

If you want hustle and bustle, go Sydney. If you want more laid back, friendlier people, go Brisbane. Both cities have lots to offer.

I am sorry about the delay in replying, but we moved into a new house yesterday, and I was waiting on the Telco people to get me net access.

Regards,
Frank

Expertise

I have lived in Brisbane all my life (53 years). I am very proud of our city and the Sunshine State of Queensland. I am happy to help in any way possible. Queensland is a very humid and hot place in Summer, which makes it great for outdoor fun.

Experience

I have a great love and knowledge of Brisbane and the surrounding areas. I holiday on the Sunshine Coast every year, and visit the Gold Coast numerous times during the year for work. We love to dine out, and can recommend many places to try in Brisbane and the Coasts.
