Subject: will my new puppy jump fence when older

Question
i recently bought a new acd mix puppy.  i have a four foot fence in my front yard.  when my puppy grows up will she jump the fence?  i can not go any higher with the fence.

Answer
Hi Bob, It really depends on if there is an attraction on the other side of the fence. If the puppy is content(and not bored) she probably will not attempt to jump the fence. We always try to use 5 foot fencing. You might try an experiment....rig up something very attractive and see how the dog reacts. A lot has to do with temperament and resourcefulness also. Hope this helps.
