i'm planning to bring my family to vienna and salzburg in november mid november. would it be a good time to go as the daylight hours are shorter and r there things to do at night ? (i have three kids 16 to 8 years old) thanks

If you wait until the end of November, the Christmas markets start up. There are lots of activities for kids there. If your kids like wintery activities like skiing and sledding, the mountains around Salzburg will be perfect for that. Beyond that, I don't know about other activities that would be specifically for kids. Have a great time!
