Question
In Mid-May, we would like to do some hiking, stay in a mountain village. From Vienna, what towns, areas, would you recommend we see? We have 4 days and a car.
I have also read about the narcissus blooming this time of year in the hills. Where?

Please understand, I do not live there. I can recommend Klosterneuburg as a nice town outside of Vienna, but my own travel experience did not involve having my own car to explore many smaller towns. I can speak to activities in Vienna and travel within Austria to a degree. If you want to stay in a mountain village, you may have to go a bit away from Vienna to get to the Alps. The mountains around Salzburg have many little villages.  I do not have knowledge of where Narcissus blooms.
