I am going with my family to Austria in August, we were thinking how long does it take to go from Austria to Budapest by a bus? and how will the weather be in Austria and Budapest on nth of August?

I don't know about buses, but the train takes about three hours to go from Vienna to Budapest. The time varies depending on which train station you are leaving from. I would guess that the train is faster because it won't have to deal with traffic on the road. The weather should be nice - mostly sunny and 25*C during the day and 15*C at night (70s during the day and 50s at night if you use Fahrenheit). You might get a little rain, but not too much.
