Austria/Laws regarding booking travel in Austria

Question
I am an administrative assistant trying to book travel for an employee who resides in Vienna.  He has been told that he has to book the travel, rather than myself, because there is a law stating this.  I can't find anything on this law and our company has a policy about booking travel.  Do you know where I could look to find this information?

Answer
I am not familiar with that law, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I just checked the website I use for train tickets and it might be a problem for you to buy them because train tickets are issued on paper - not electronically. These tickets can then be mailed, but only to addresses outside of Europe. I guess they figure if you live in Austria, you can just go buy them personally. So even if the law does allow you to purchase them, I don't know if you would be able to get them to your boss. I'm sorry I couldnt be more helpful!
