I. is it possible to change Israeli Shekels to austrian shillings at your banks in salzburg? if so?
1)what is the exchange rate?
2)what added costs (if any) are there?

Thanks again for your e-mail. The information was difficult to get but I have contacted one of your major local banks (Creditanstalt) to get an idea: They say usually you can exchange Shekels without any problem. I have been told there are new bills, so to avoid problems you should have those. The exchange rate is about 1 Shekel to 3.30 Austrian Shillings. Commission is usually 2,5 %, miminum amount is ATS 50.0. Of course this is only a general guideline, you would have to check again once you are here. Greetings from Salzburg, Oliver Sedlinger
