Austria - travel budapest to vienna

Hi,
We are going to Budapest in December.
We also want to visit Vienna.
How can we go to Vienna from Budapest for one-day?
How long it takes? Is it possible go&back in a day?

Answer
It is easy to take the train straight from Budapest into Vienna. If you buy a morning ticket, you can spend most of the day there. The train ride is about 3 hours but you could do it in one day. Leave early, around 7 or 8am, spend the day and go back in the evening. This website can help you work out your plans. Please let me know if you have more questions.
