Hello. This Could have been written about my daughter. I was told that they have until 1 year to display signs of joint attention. Joint attention is key and I think they actually have until 15 months to do this if I recall. So I wouldn't worry too much yet. My daughter is 8 months and does EVERYTHING you have described. I'd like to know how your child is doing now.... Was there any diagnosis?

Your child also sounds exactly like my soon to be 10 month old son. Everything you described is true for my son. I have been so worried because he is a twin and his brother is so social, has joint attention, good eye contact and so forth that it has made it that much more obvious. I would love to know how your son is doing now. Violetsmom, I am in the same situation as you-just waiting to see if he is going to catch up. I have a call in to our intervention specialists in the area to do an assessment on him. I would rather get help sooner than later. Please let me know how things are going for you.
