Question
i am 37 years old, and suffer from anxiety, i have an uncle with autism and a son with it too.all the doctors say is i have an anxiety dissorder.and try medicating with numerous pills and injections, COULD I BE AUTISTIC?
Hi Chris;
It is possible you could have high functioning autism such as Asperger's syndrome (AS). Many teens and adults with AS suffer from anxiety. Knowing the cause of your anxiety may help you to minimize anxious episodes. For an assessment, you'll need a psychologist who specializes in high functioning autism in adults.
