Question
I was told that my son might be eligable for some kind of benefits through social security, can you advise me on this or point me in the right direction?

Also, I have had a great number of expenses.  Some of the for therapists and others for an advocate to represent him to the public school system to get him what he needs and make sure he is not decompensated.  Are there any tax breaks, deductions or other breaks we might be eligable for?  or, again, can you point me in some direction where I can find this out?

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Richard;

I apologize, this is out of my area of expertise. Your state department of health and social services sometimes provides monthly assistance if they believe your child has a "disability'" under their criteria. The same holds true for social security insurance. It may require a specialized attorney if you run into a wall.

Kind regards,
James
