Question
I have a 7 year old autistic son who is now in a CSIU class which is a special class with only autistic children in the classroom. Each day,the teacher signs the log book to let me know how he is doing and how his day went and when he is in the need of pull ups.It has come to my attention that they arent changing him in school and the teacher is trying to say he isn't wet throughout the day, but, there is only 12 pull ups in a bag and in his log book he went over 2 months without needing pull ups and he has told me and his TSS worker that they don't have time to change him.I am very upset about this issue.Johnathan my son is now regressing at home by not wanting to take a bath or get his hair cut,he says its because they don't change him in school.I have been giving him a spongebath for a month now because of him being neglected in school and I don't know what to do about this situation since the teacher is saying well,he says he isn't wet so,we don't change him.I am really upset about sending him to school and right now I just don't know what to do.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You!

Answer
You need to ask for an IEP to address your concerns about the class your son is in. You need to bring up everything you stated in your question. The school administrators need to take action to make sure your son is properly toiled at school. If you are not comfortable doing this, then make an appointment to go tell your concerns to the principal at your son's school.

I wish you and your son the best,
